The Life of Soon to be Teacher

Not everyone wants to be a teacher or even dreamed about it but everyone becomes a student. Since everyone must have been a student then someone needs to be a teacher.

I, myself is training to become a teacher someday. If you are going to ask me on what time I wake up everyday, well it's 4:30 am and oh, I usually sleep at 12:00am. Yes, it's quite tiring and stressful but I bet you, it feels so overwhelmed being able to impart new learning to your students. Another thing is the environment because I am new to it and Northern Cebu, Medellin to be specific is really a good place.

I know every student wants to know what their teacher do every hour and every minute that they have so here's the list of the daily routine and some special tasks that the teacher needs to do.

  • First of all, the teacher needs to wake up early. I already have mentioned the time earlier. She/he needs to prepare herself/himself to school and to students.
  • After arriving in school, the teacher should check his/her students. Just like attendance, uniform, and even assignments.
  • During some vacant time of the teacher, she/he will check the outputs of the students. She/he needs to make sure that every students are being updated.
  • At his/her time for discussion or for lesson, he/she should give her full energy and resources so that the students will learn something from him/her.
  • When it's almost time for dismissal of classes, the teacher should give the students some final instructions or even assignments.
  • After the students have gone out of the classroom, the teacher will ensure the cleanliness and the orderliness of the room. She should never forget to make the room ready for tomorrow's school day.
  • As the teacher arrives at home, she should check the house and his/her personal tasks.
  • When dinner time is finished, the teacher have to plan for tomorrow's classes. She should plan it out very well so that learning will be a lot of fun.
  • After deciding on what to do on tomorrow's class, the teacher will now then prepare for the visual aids and even for his/her materials. Everything should be set before going to sleep.
  • While the teacher is laying in the bed, he/she still thinks about his/her students.

The above mentioned are just some typical tasks that your teacher is doing. Most of the teachers are doing much more work just to prepare their students for the future.

Even if I'm not yet a professional teacher, I still feel the pressure of molding the future of the children. Indeed, being a teacher is the noblest job of all. But sometimes, looked back on how we love or hate our teacher of the past.

One Way of Giving Love on Christmas Season

I started my day with a bright ray of the sun passing through my window. It's just 8 days before Christmas. I checked my planner and December 18, 2011 was filled with a schedule. The schedule was so important and it reads.. "Make the less fortunate happy in Missionaries of the Poor".

Before anything else, what is Missionaries of the Poor? The Missionaries of the Poor (M.O.P.) is an international monastic order of Brothers dedicated to "Joyful Service with Christ on the Cross" to serve the poorest of the poor. The order was started in 1981 by Father Richard Ho Lung and has now grown to over 500 brothers around the world.

Unusual Food. So Yummy or So Yucky.

I know that you won't love hearing this story. I'm thankful to my friend who informed me about this.

It all started as a chitchat with my friends and classmates. We chatted about school stuff and even love life then suddenly we reached the topic about food. One of my friend, named Rile started to throw jokes about food. He started asking if what do we feel if we accidentally ate a dirty food from a restaurant. Of course, all our faces went to yucky expressions, then my other friend Jan started to tell his story.

Where Is The Spirit Of Christmas?

Few days to go and it will be December and some few weeks more will be Christmas

http://flickrhivemind.net
Every night when I have my trip home, I cannot ignore having a look to those Christmas decors nearby the streets. All those decors are glimmering with colorful lights that seems to have a perfect rhythm. Some of the decors were shaped with an angel. Others were patterned with Santa Claus and reindeers but mostly they are formed to look like stars that brights up our nights. I have seen not only one but two or more night stores that exhibits their Christmas art piece to all the people passing by the road. I was really amazed on how do these things can ignite our spirit for Christmas. What amazed me more is that, those decors where made by skillful hands. Every time I see those kinds of Christmas decors, I ask myself if how long does it take one decor to finish and ready to be sold.

Bibingka Cook-Off at SM Hypermarket

SM Hypermarket heralds the holiday season with a bibingka cook-off

Bibingka has always been a Cebu pride. It may not have been the staple food to the Cebuanos but it is very famous not only in the province but also in the country. No true Cebuano doesn't know this food. Mandaue City, being the home of bibingka's best, had developed its tourism with it. With SM Hypermarket's Bibingka Super Sized Cook Off, it gave way on promoting the delicacy to the whole country as well as in the world.
